VERDICT AT INQUEST.

Tho adjourned inquest concerning the death of Patrick Duane, who was killed on the Carterton-Masterton Road at Clarevillo on July 5, was held to-day before tho district coroner, Mr. E. G. Eton. Deceased was a passenger in a motor*
The evidence showed that the railings of a culvert were struck by the car. The drivor said he was dazzled by the lights of an approaching car. The verdict was that deceased died as the result of injuries received through being struck by the railings. Tho coroner said there was no eye-witness of tho accident. There was no direct evidence of negligence 011 tho driver's part.
