COST OF COLLECTION. The cost of the collection of each £IOO of revenue by the Customs Department during the last financial year amounted to £1 Is Bd. The total revenue obtained after the deduction of refunds and drawbacks was £10,891,880 and tho expenses £117,952. Of tho 19 porta of entry Auckland, with £2,5/74,977, occupied second place to Wellington, whero £3,703,368 was collected. A sum of £422,858 was collected through tho Postal Department.
