Tlic kidnapping of a Russian—recalling tlie caso of General Koutcpoff at Paris — lias occurred at Hamburg.
An influential Russian business man named Schainbold was ordered bv the Soviet to go to Moscow to give information. He disobeyed the order, was tried in his absence from Moscow and sentenced to death. M. Schuinhold's 18-year son has now disappeared. It is believed that the youth was enticed by an emissary from the Soviet to Kiel and there taken on board a. ship, which sailed for Russia. Diplomatic action is being taken in the matter.
