BROWN—JOHNSON. The wedding was celebrated on Wednesday evening of, St. Matthew's Church j of Miss Mary Josephine Johnson, only j daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Johnson, j of Epsom, to Mr. Donald Dnrrow Brown, only son of Mr. and Mrs. D. T. Brown, of Heme Bay. The Rev. W. Aveiill officiated and the Rev. Mr. Clntty played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a >'own of ivory embossed georgetto and tulle, dipping to tho ankles. Her veil, which formed a train, was of silk net and Ince and was worn thrown back from the face and held in position bv a wreath ot orange blossoms at the neck. She carried a shower bouquet of white and pink roses and maidenhair. The bridesmaid wis Miss Clare Brown, who wore an j ankle-length frock of salmon pink georgette and taffeta with heavily-frilled skirt Her large picture hat was of beige lelt and she carried a bouquet of mauve and pink cornflowers. G B. W beton performed the ceremony. Ihe bride, who was given away by her father wore a frock of ivorv georgette with tight fitting bodice and full skirt with uneven hemline. Her veil of old Jlomton lace was arranged on the bend with clusters of orange blossom and she carried a showei Imuquet. of white flowers with touches ot pink. Tho chief bridesmaid, Miss Joan Humphries, of Morrinsville, wore a frock of shell pink silk net over satin beaute. Also in attendance were Misses Alice and Lindsay Babbage, sisters of the bride, who wore ankle length frocks of silk not over satin beaute in shades of eau-de-nil and deep primrose respectively, with hats of the same shades and eained bouquets of sweet peas. Mr. A lister Babbage was best man and Messrs. John Sedeole arid David Mason groomsmen. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Wattle Tea Rooms, where Mrs. Babbage. received her guests wearing a ring velvet frock with navy and winecoloured hat. Her bouquet was of chrvsanthemums. Mrs. A. Mason, mother of the bridegroom, wore a suit, of naw and grey with hat. to tone and grey fox furs. She carried a bouquet of Iceland poppies. PUGH—MENTZER. The. wedding was celebrated last Wednesday at All Saints' Anglican Church, Birkenhead, of Miss Olga Mentzer, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Mentzer, of Birkenhead, to Mr. George A. Pugh, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. George Pugh, of Birkenhead. The Rev. P. t . Davis, vicar of Birkenhead, performed the cerenionv, which was semi-choral, and Mrs. .1. V. Steel played the wedding music. Tho bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a gown of ivory lace over satin beaute, fashioned on long lines. Her embroidered veil, which formed a train, was arranged with a capo effect, and was held in place by three eirles of orange, blossoms._ She carried a sheath of tiny arum lilies and maidenhair fern. The two bridesmaids were Miss Zoe Mentzer and Miss Lilah Pugh, sisters of the bride and bridegroom respectively. They were gowned alike in frocks of blush rose pink satin and silk net. She carried a bouquet of violets and snowdrops. Ihe bridegroom's mother wore saxe blue niaiocain with a beige jabot and hat to tone. She carried a posy of violets.
