BOWLING.
MANUREWA CLUB. There was a good attendance of members at the Manurewa Bowling Club's annual meeting, which was presided over by the president, Mr. C. Hawthorn. The annual report stnted that the membership had shown a steady increase, and attention was also drawn to the many improvements made to the grounds The club's financial position was quite satisfactory. The death of the late Mr. E. J. Butterworth, one of the club's foundation members, was also referred to by tho president. It was decided to bo represented again in the pennant competition, for which /our teams are to be entered. Tho opportunity was taken by the president to present Mr. Eccleurield with the trophy for the junior championship singles for tho 1929-30 season. Tho following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Patron, Mr. A. C. A. Sfixton; president, Mr. J. Murray; vice-presidents, Messrs. Gr. Gallaher, F. H.
