BODY IN OPUA HARBOUR.
EVIDENCE OF IDENTIFICATION VERDICT AT THE INQUEST. The adjourned inquesi was held at Opua. on Saturday before Mr. J. R. Morris, J.P., acting coroner, and a jury of four, into the death of a man whose body was found in the harbour on Sunday, July 6. Evidence was given by Constable. Mitchell. of Russell, that police inquiries indicated that deceased was a man named Jolm Brownlee. a painter. Brownlee was born in England and was married. He was 40 years of ape. and arrived in New Zealand from Australia by the steamer Maunganni. The jury returned a verdict that deceased met his death by drowning.
