KILLED BY A TRAIN.
ENGINEDRIVER'S DEATH.
STRUCK WHILE CROSSING LINE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. When crossing tho railway lino near Linwood station on the evening of Juno 27, William Henry Irwin, an enginedriver, aged 40, was struck by an electric train and killed. At the inquest to-day evidence was given that thero was no thoioughfaio across tho tracks at the point where ho was struck. Tho coroner found that death was due to injuries received through being accidentally struck by an electric train.
