WOMAN RIFLE SHOT.
UNIQUE DISTINCTION*
TRIPLE POSSIBLE SCORE. In addition to creating a sensation by winning the King's Prize* at the Bisley rifle shooting meeting, Miss Marjorio Foster, the first woman to win the prize, possesses tho unique distinction of being tho first person to make a triple possible scoro on the new smaller bull's eyes. This feat was performed by Miss Foster at Bisley on April 13, 1929, when alio shot with a short service rillo and Mark VII. ammunition.
In each range shoot, Miss Foster started with an inner as a sighting shot, found the bull's eye with her first to count, mid held it. The three targets were at 200 yds., 500 yds., and 600 yds. respectively. With the exception of her fourth shot at 500 yds.. and her seventh at 600 yds., Miss Foster was comfortably away from the line. Seven bulls were scored on each target, making the total score 10$ tho possible. Diagrams of the different targets show that tho group at 200 yds. measured 2!An. by 3in., the group at 500 yds., 6in." by 10in., and that at 600 yds., Bin by 12in. There can be nothing "flukey" about a full score, and it, is evident that Miss Foster holds a vory good rifle and holds it superbly.
