NORFOLK ISLAND TRADE.

RETURN OF THE HIKURANGI. LIGHT CARGO OF ORANGES. After making her first trip to Norfolk Island the small steamer Hikurangi returned to Auckland last evening, the round trip having occupied nino days. Boisterous head winds and rough seas prevailed throughout the passage from Auckland to the island, but the vessel experienced fine wea&Vr 011 the return trip. Owing to the short notico given of her departure, the steamer took only 80 tons of general merchandise to the island, and her return cargo consists of only 600 cases of oranges and a small quantity of potatoes. It is understood that much larger cargoes will be offering if the vessel continues in tho sorvice, but it is uncertain whether sho will be despatched to the island again.
