BABY THROWN INTO LORRY.
MOTHER'S PROMPT ACTION. CHILD ESCAPES INJURY[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] NEW PLYMOUTH, Saturday. -An unusual accident occurred yesterday, when n baby, five months old, was a motor-car into the back of a motor-lorry without being injured, when two vehicles met at an intersection.
The lorry was proceeding along Courtenay Street when it collided with a light car, driven by Mr. G. H. Vinnicombo, which was proceeding lip Gover Street. Mrs. Vinnicombe was sitting in tho front seat carrying her baby, and when tho collision occurred tho force of the impact caused her to lose her balance, Sho felt herself falling and threw tho baby from her arms into the back of tho lorry, which was empty. The baby was not hurt. Mr. Vinnicombo received a severe cut on ono arm when tho windscreen was shattered, while Mrs. Vinnicombo escaped with severe bruises.
