COLLECTIONS OF PEERS. HIGH PRICES IN LONDON. British Wireless. KUGBY, July 18. At a great sale of works of art, which realised nearly £IOO,OOO ot Christie's auction room, London, somo famous works, including several from the collections of the. late Marquess of Curzon, the Earl of Balfour and tho Earl of Fevershatn, brought high prices. A superb landscapo by Hobbema, which was (ho property of the Earl of Fevorsham, brought 16,000 guineas. One of tho most celebrated of the old masters among the 32 Curzon heirlooms, which in all realised 40,000 guineas, was Rembrandt's portrait of an old man, which fetched 19,000 guineas. Other high prices were paid for portraits by Sir Joshua Reynolds, 4400 guineas; by Gainsborough, 4000 guineas; and by lioppner, 2200 guineas. Of 12 pictures from the Earl of Ballour's estato tho highest price paid was 2600 guinoas for Jan van Coyen's view of Dordrecht River.
