SHOOTING AT BISLEY.
WOMAN'S PERFORMANCE. BRILLIANT MARKSMANSHIP. (Received July ]H. 0.5 p.m.) LONDON*. July IS. Miss Marjorie Foster, of the Women's Legion, has made history at Bisley. She is the only woman who has secured a place in the second stage of the King's Prize event. Also she tied with six men for the bronze cross given for the highest score in the first stage of the St. George's Vase event. She was only beaten by one point by a Canadian. Miss Foster also shot brilliantly in the Prince of Wales' prize-contest, in which she scored 66 out of a possible 70. She is a chicken farmer and rushes back home to feed her chickens at intervals when she shoots at Bisley. In the Mackinnon Cup match tho result was:—Canada, 1076; Rhodesia, 1025; Scotland, 1021; Kngh.nd, 1020; India, 1019; Ireland, 1018.
