TENDERS FOR RESERVOIR.

Tenders for tho erection of a reinforce

concrete* reservoir with a capacity of 75,000 gallons on Stockade Hill, Howick, were received at a meeting of the Ilowick Town Board on Thursday evening. The prices of the 10 tenders received ranged from £1365 to £1064, tho estimate of tho board's engineer, Mr. A. T. Walker, being £ll3O. At n. meeting of (ho waterworks committee yesterday, the lowest tendor, that of 11. Bray and Company, Ltd., for £1064 6s, was accepted. At tho meeting of tho Town Board tho engineer reported that the water reticulation ill t lio township area was well advanced, and several new properties would be linked up within the next few weeks. Tho supply for tho Howick portion of the eoncrcto highway now started in Picton Street was assured.
