BRIDGE EVENINGS. In honour of Miss Elsio Simmons, who is leaving Hamilton shortly to livo in Tauranga, Miss Kathleen TVilson gave a very enjoyable bridge evening at her home, Oliaupo Road, on Thursday. A very cheery timo was spent in bridge, the prizes going to Miss Alico Wilson and Miss Ngaire Jackson. The bridge room was decorated with roses and early jonquils. Miss Wilson received her guests in a frock of chenille georgette in shades of russet led and brown. 'lho guest of honour wore floral brocaded taffeta. Airs. F. Wilson wore black crepe de chine. Among those present wero Mrs. Alan Matthews, Miss Alice Wilson, Miss D. Yule, Miss L. Ilume, Miss C. Chilly, Miss J. Gilfillan, Miss N. Valder, Miss E. Jolly, Miss N. Jackson, Miss 1). Clark, Miss V. Watts, Miss G. Hammond, Miss Yickerman, Miss E. Ward. Mr. and Mrs. I). Woods gave a very pleasant bridge evening at their home, Whitiora, recently. Mrs. Woods received her guests in a 'frock of hydrangea blue figured taffeta. The winners of the bridge prizes were Miss N. \ alder and Miss L. Valder. Tho card room was arranged with Iceland poppies and daphne. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Hammond, Mr. and Mrs. A. James, Miss A. Coventry, Miss M. Valder, Miss M. Clayton Greene, Miss X. Valder, Miss A. Moore, Miss F. dinar. Miss H. Yickery, Miss E. Morris, Mr. D. Coventry. Mr. E. Clayton Greene, Mr. R. Eraser,* Mr. Carr Morris, Mr. D. Adams.
