There was a good tone and prices were fully maintained. New Zealand greasy crossbred made top price, average lOd. The Merino clip Ngarnru made t.op price, 12£ d, average ll^d. BRADFORD TOPS. The market is steady, with an improved inquiry For Merinos. Quotations are fully maintained. 64's are quoted at 2s 3d per II).; 60's, 2s 2d; 56's, Is fid; 50's, Is 5d ; 46's, Is 2jjd ; 40's, Is 3d. SALE IN AUCKLAND. MOSTLY" ODDMENTS OFFERING. In view of the fact that it is estimated that the hold over from the regular Auckland wool sales in the past season was nearly 10,000 hales, an exceedingly small offering is being brought forward at the first, winter wool sale in Auckland on Tuesday. The catalogue comprises only 630 bales, of which 100 to 1,50 bales are fleece and the remainder oddments. With this offering the sale will bo little more than an oddinent sale. It is considered that the ruling prices are not regarded as sufficiently attractive by the big holders and it is not expected that there will be a large representation of outside buyers. Nevertheless several Southern inquiries have been received. The sale will be held at the Chamber of Commerce at 1 p.m. The next sale in Auckland will take place in September.

NEW COMPANY FORMED. DAIRYING AT TE AROHA. [BY TKI.EGP.APH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TE AROHA. Friday. The registration was effected to-day of the Te Aroha-Tliamcs Valley Co-operative Dairy Company, limited, with a nominal capital of £40.000, in £1 shares, of which about 15.000 have already been taken up. The provisional directors are Messrs. H. O. Cooper (Waihou), W. H. Emmett (Manawatu), H. McKeen (Turanga-o-Moana), M. C. Smith (Ilikutaia), C. A. Onsford (Turua), C. A. Hayward (Waitakaruru), P. Sutton (Waihi), and F. S. Board (Te Aroha).

The object of the company is to acquire the business now carried qxj by the To Aroha Dairy Company, Limited, which since its inception in 1924 has increased its output of butter from 103 tons in that year to 1785 tons for the season recently ended. PUKEMIRO COLLIERY. UNFOUNDED RUMOURS. Rumours that trouble was occurring in the Fukemiro mine were emphatically denied by Mr E. S. Wight, director and consulting engineer of Pukemiro Collieries, Limited, last evening. "Nothing is happening in the mine to warrant the slightest concern whatsoever," Mr. Wight said. The currency of any rumour affecting the stability of the mine had been news to him and lie wished to give it an emphatic denial. A slight movement had occurred in one roadway, and that had been abandoned and the coal shut off was being mined from another direction. Reference to the rumour was made on the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday by the chairman, Mr. G. C. Creagh, who said he had brought the statements under tho notice of Mr. Wight. He announced that Mr. Wight wished it to be known to tho members of the Exchange that the statement that there was a serious creep in the mine was absolutely false. There was not the slightest danger, and the company had not lost a pound of coal in consequence of the slight creep in one roadway, nor was it likely to do so. MARKET REPORTS.
