CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. I 110, annual meeting of tho Onehunga Manukau Chamber of Commerce was held mi Wednesday evening, the. president, Mr. D. 11. Kirk Jones, presiding. It was decided to urge tho Government to include in the order of reference for the Railways Commission the question )f substituting an independent board of directors to control tho i ail ways. Messrs. .). E. Green and Jones were appointod to give evidence before tho commission. The following officers were elected:— President, Mr. ,). P. Green; immediate past, president, Mr. D. 11. Kirk Jones; vice-president, Mr. T. S. Bassett; commit tee, .Messrs. G. 11. Bray, J. Glarksori, A. G. I li'iildsworl h VV. I/overing, T. 11. McKoever, C. I''. Milnes, and W. Motion; auditor, Mr. \V Yeatman; secretary, Mr. J. l'ilkington.
