DAIRY PRODUCE TRADE.

SHIPMENTS FROM DOMINION. GENERAL INCREASE SHOWN. FIGURES FOR LAST MONTH. Reflecting the increased production which has marked the dairy season just ended, shipments of dairy produce from New. Zealand for the month of Juno show a largo increase on tho figures f<t tho corresponding month of last year. The total amount of butter shipped, 6353 tons, represents an increase of 3482 tons on the figures for June, 1929, making the total sinco August last year 88,509 tons, as compared with 75,321 tons for the same period in tho previous season. The amount of cheese shipped was 5702 tons, a decrease of three tons from the corresponding month last year, but this is offset by a general increase of 80S tons for the season to the end of June. Of the total amount of butter shipped in June, 3284 tons were sent to England, which has received 63.954 tons of New Zealand butter this season. Canada received 2859 tons, making tho season's total 23,068 tons. Tho remaining 210 tons were despatched to other countries, the chief destination being l'anama, which received 120 tons. Of tho butter sent, to tho United Kingdom last month, 78 per cent, was consigned, the remainder being sold f.o.b. The Export of Cheese. Practically tho whole of tho chroso exported in June was sent, to England, tho actual amount being 5691 tons, making a total for tho season of 77,866 tons. No cheese was sent to Canada and only one ton to Australia, while other countries absorbed 10 tons. The season's exports to Australia and Canada now stand at 15 tons and 146 tons, respectively. Of tho total amount shipped to the United Kingdom in Juno, tho position at the tiino of shipment; was that 72 per cent, was consigned, the remainder being sold f.o.b. It is of interest to compare the shipments from Australia and the Argentine for the same month. Australia last month exported 965 tons of butter and 57 tons of cheese, the totals for tho season to date being 40,286 tons and 1165 tons respectively. Tho amount of butter sent from tho Argentine was 975 tons, as compared with 245 tons for tho corresponding month of 1929, while the season's exports amount to 15,969 tons. Sources of Britain's Imports. Imports of butter into Britain during Juno were 34,148 tons, an increase of 3622 tons compared with June, 1929, and 2545 tons in June, 1928. Tho principal increases wero from Denmark, Irish Free State, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina, Finland, Sweden and other Baltic States.
