BALLOT FOR TEST MATCH SEATS.

Sir, —After reading of I lie long wait liy persons in the queue for tickets for the test, and the disappointment and general dissatisfaction over the matter, I think a suggestion to overcome future didiculties would he welcome. When many thousands of people desire that which is limited to hundreds, the only satisfactory way of allotting is by ballot. Charge 2s 6d for a ballot ticket and anyone could have as many chances as the number of half-crowns he is prepared to rl.sk. Country people could participate in the drawing and I am sure that a huge total of applicants would bo received. Each successful ticket at the ballot would be entitled to two seat 3. The result could be published and a limited time given for the paying up and lifting of the reserved seat tickets. This would give the country enthusiast an equal chance with the townsman and give widespread satisfaction. After paying expenses, which would be small, the balance could paid over to unemployment or other deserving funds, and I am sure that the amount realised would be huge. A Keen Rugbyite.
