WORKERS DEMONSTRATE
DEMAND FOR SAFEGUARDING. SPEECHES IN HYDE PARK. (Received June 29, 9.45 p.m.) LONDON, June 29. Twenty thousand workers in tho safeguarded industries demonstrated in Hyde Park to-day against tho removal of the safeguarding duties. Twenty special trains brought 5000 Nottingham lace-workers to London 1 Speakers addressed the gathering from eight platfdrms. The meoting passed a resolution demanding a suspension of sentence on safeguarding in home and Empire markets.
