SUNSHINE SCHOOL.

RESULT OF RECENT APPEAL. THE HELPERS ENTERTAINED. The ladies who helped in the successful street collection in aid of the Sunshine School were entertained at the school last week and thanked by the Community Sunshine Association for their voluntary services. Tho president, Mrs. N. E. Fernet*, said the amount received, with donations, was over £I3OO. This was largely due to tho magnificent work and enthusiasm of tho collectors. She thought the appeal for sick children touched tho heart of the people, especially when they found the benefit that tho children dorived from the treatment. A detailed explanation of the treatment received was given. Mrs. Ferner spoke of the generosity of several donors who had contributed £lO each to tho equipment. A sample of tho school uniform was on view. The uniforms will bo made by Mrs. Nielsen's committee and aro of grey blanket cloth, bearing a largo forget-mo-not, tho emblem of the association. It was announced that tho association will have a stall at the Winter Show under tho direction of Mrs, Pratt. Donations of goods will bo gratefully accoptod for the nine days of tho show, particularly cakes and sweets. Afternoon tea was served under tho direction of Mrs. Alfred! Eady. The hall was tastefully decorated lby Mrs. Raingcr. Numbers of the visitors went through tho school and saw the children at work. A visit was also paid to the solarium.
