POPULAR YOUNG BRIDE.
MISSMUSSOLINI WEDS.
SIMPLE CEREMONY. —T
Pomp and circumstance had no place in the ceremony of marriage in Rome, which recently united Edda Mussolini, the Duce's 19-year-old daughter, and Count Galeazzo Ciano, who is 27. Italy had taken the bridal pair to her heart, and' the city scrambled to catch a glimpse of them. The bride, leaning on the arm of ■ Count Costanzo Ciano, her future father-in-law, wore a simple white , satin gown with a long train reaching six feet behind hei and a veil of old Venetian lace held by a garland of orange blossoms. The ceremony was performed by the parish priest, the Rev. GiovenalePascucci.
All the foreign Ambassadors and Ministers, members ,of the Cabinet,., many Fascist notabilities and a large number of the Roman aristocracy, attended the ceremony. Sir Ronald Graham, the British Ambassador, with Lady Graham and tho Papal Nuncio, were among those present. When the bride and bridegroom left the church tliey were greeted with shouts of enthusiasm, the like Rome has not heard since the wedding of tlio Crown Princo to Princess Marie Jose of Belgium. The newly-married couple went immediately to St. Peter's, and walked together to the Chapel of the Sacrament, where the}' prayed before proceeding to the tomb of the Apostle Peter, where they knelt again. Their honeymoon destination is a secret.
