MANUREWA FUNCTION.
SUCCESSFUL DANCE. A very enjoyable dance, held in the Manurewa Theatre, and organised by the members of tho local Catholic Church, was attended by a large number of visitors from surrounding districts. The music was supplied by Kiddell's Orchestra. An interesting waltzing competition was won by Mr. L. Mcintosh- (Takanini), and Miss Jean Smith, the judge being Mr. Aitchison, of Papakura. A Monto Carlo waltz was annexed by Mr. J. Drum and Miss Iris Palmer. < Among thoso present were: Miss Marjorie Grinclrod, yeanng a frock of deep blue taffeta with silver lace; Miss Betty Dunn, apricot taffeta;' Miss H. Maxwell, leaf green crepe do chine; Miss Queen lumber, blue and silver beaded frock; Miss E. Spencer, bronze satin beaute; Miss P. Kimbeiy spring green satin and gold lace; Miss 11. Marshall, figured art silk; Miss P. Robertson, figured georgette; Miss J. Harris, roso pink taffeta; Mrs. A. Robertson, floral satin; Mrs. W. K. Walter, roso ' georgetto and chenille lace; Mrs. Marshall, embossed Oriental velvet; Miss Flannigan, apple green georgetto; Miss T. Young, black georgette and gold lace; Miss I.
