TUNNEL TRAGEDY.

THREE WORKERS KILLED. ACCIDENT IN VICTORIA. MELBOURNE. Juno 24. Five men employed in a deep water tunnel leading to tho Silvan reservoir were overwhelmed iu a fall of earth. Two were rescued, but the other three, Walter Crosby, Frederick Scales, aud Bert Walsh are dead. Their comrades worked with feverish haste for hours trying to reach them. Scales' body has been recovered, but tho rescuers have failed to reach the other two victims.
