PAPAKURA AFFAIRS.

CONTROL OF CEMETERY. TJio Papakura Town Board met last evening, Mr James McCall presiding. It was decided to construct a drain to Argylo Avenue at nn estimated cost of £132 to drain the low-lying portion of Kirk's Bush Reserve. Tho commissioner of Crown lands advised that the department would contribute £IOO toward tho cost.. The trustees of the Presbyterian Church at Papakura intimated that they desired to retain control of tho Presbyterian portion of the cemetery .at Papakura, and they wished to join in the plans for beautifying the cemetery. Board members expressed regret that the trustees had not seen fit to hand control over to the board.
