YESTERDAY'S WEATHER.
CONDITIONS IN SOUTH. Auckland. —A moderate westerly wind was blowing yesterday aud tho weather was showery. Tho barometer was practically steady at 30.00 in. Christchurcli. —Tho weather was line and bright in • the morning, following a light frost, but early in the afternoon a, south-westerly wind sprang up and tho sky clouded over. Tho maximum temperature was 52 degrees. The barometer was I'ising steadily, tho readiug in the e\enmg being 29.65 in. Dunedin.—The weather was very unsettled and cold yesterday. Intermittent rain and snow fell during the day, bu there were periods of sunshine. The vraa was strong from the south-west. Lu® maximum temperature :was 39 degrees. The barometer the hut was steady in tho evening at /a.ooiu.
