Christchurcli. —Tho weather was line and bright in • the morning, following a light frost, but early in the afternoon a, south-westerly wind sprang up and tho sky clouded over. Tho maximum temperature was 52 degrees. The barometer was I'ising steadily, tho readiug in the e\enmg being 29.65 in. Dunedin.—The weather was very unsettled and cold yesterday.
