YOUNGSTERS AT HASTINGS. INTEREST IN NEA LAP,. About a dozen yearlirgs ar.d two-year-olds strode down the straight at Hastings in two batches on Friday. The only one to excite much interest was Phar Lap's sister., Xea Lap With H Gray up. she moved alonz very freely, by no means dning her best, and sheaved he reel' possessed of a smooth galloping action which should win races for her. She has improved a good deal in appearance since last seen, and while it 13 too much to erpect her to measure uo with her now fam jus brother, aha is going to be useful. She is one of J M. Cameron's team and may £o to Australia when he goes in August. The only other notability was J. H. Jefferd'a brother to Puieia. Vandyke. Ee is very inexperienced as regards crowds, bat ridcen by E. Reed under a good hoid he utrode along like an eld hand. Vandyse ran second in the Trial Plato cn the following day.
