RATES AT MANUREWA.

The Manurewa Town Board decided last evening that the general rate for the current year should bo the same as that struck last year. The chairman, Mr. G. Gallaher, expressed satisfaction that it had not been found necessary to increase tho rate, in spite of increased expenditure. It was decided that the re-surfacing of Station Road with bitumen be proceeded with immediately. Seveial residents of Jellicoo Road petitioned tho board for attention to bo given to tho footpath on the eastern sido of tho road. It was decided that tho path bo re-surfaccd with metal chips, and that tho water tables bo cleaned.
