BOROUGH DRAINAGE SCHEME Cj; V TELEGRAPH. —OWN COP.UESPOXDENT. ] CAMBRIDGE, Monday. The work of extension of tho Cambridge Borough Council's sewerage system is proceeding satisfactorily. Tho present contracts, which were let last April at a cost of about £13,000, involve the employment of about GO men. A considerable portion of the borough is already reticulated and j lie drainage system is expected to bo in working order over part of this area in a month's time. There was a record attendance of 180 at the meeting of the Cambridge Orphans' Club on Saturday. Parties of visitors were present from Paeroa and To Awanuitu. During the evening the president of the local club, Mr. S. Lewis, unveiled the honours board, on which are inscribed the names of all past presidents.
