DANGER TO NAVIGATION.
OBJECT SIGHTED AT SEA. REPORT FROM STEAMER. [nr TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] "WELLINGTON', Monday. A message from the Secretary of the General Post Ofiice states that the following message has been received from a Sydney radio station : " S.S. Maranoa reports that at 4.5 p.m. on June 22 she sighted an object, apparently the mast of a vessel, about 12ft. out of the water, floating upright, with stays attached. The position was Cape Everard lighthouse, north, 29 degrees east, true bearing, eight miles distant. The object was dangerous to navigation."
