AN IMPROVED OUTLOOK.

CHEESE POSITION STEADY.

Reports from London received during the week-end indicate that there is an improved outlook in the butter market. Amalgamated Dairies, Limited, has received the following cablegram from its London house, dated June 20.—Butter: After a quiet week our prices are unchanged, finest, 1365. The market closed very firm. Retail price of New Zealand advancing on Monday to Is sd, the same as Danish. Danish well cleared at 1375, f.o.b. Deliveries: New Zealand, 513 tons; stock, 10,688 tons. Cheese: Market very quiet, white, 795; coloured, 85s. Some business passing at Is less. Canadian: Irregular, 77s 6d to 80s, c.i.f. Little business passing. Retail unchanged. Leonard and Son, Limited, has received the following cablegram from Mr. A. C. Rowson, London, dated Juno 20. —Butter: New Zealand, finest, 1355; first grade, 1345. The demand is good and the market firm. The outlook is for improving prices. Cheese: New Zealand, white, 78s; coloured, 84s. The demand is slow and the market is weak. The outlook is a steady market. Deliveries: New Zealand and Australian, 24,503 crates. Canadian, 2372 boxes. Stock: New Zealand and Australian, 121,203 crates; Canadian, 97,782 boxes.
