CARS ILLEGALLY TAKEN.

ONE STILL NOT TRACED.

When Mr. L. Curtis came away from a ball at Stratford his car was gone. At about 1 a.m. on Friday Mr.. R. S. Gernhoefer left tho Ngaere Hall, and found that his car was missing. There wan a car left, and this was later identified as Mr. Curtis' car. It is thought that tho thieves annexed Mr. Curtis' car at Stratford, and drove it to Ngaere, and abandoned it in favour of Mr. Gernhoefer's, which has not yet been traced. It is a fivc-seater touring car. THREE REMOVED IN OITY. TWO STILL MISSING. Tlireo motor-cars wero removed from city streets during tho week-end, and last evening only one has been recovered. A sedan car, owned by Mr. R. J. Bartle, of 156, Orakei Road, Rcmuera, was taken from Shortland Street on Friday evening, while another vehicle, owned by Mr. H. E. Gillespio, of 2, St. Mark's Road, Remuera, was removed from tho same street on Saturday morning. A car owned by Mr. R. B. Parker, of Queen Street, Waiuku, which was left in Customs Street between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, was later found in Commerce Street.
