MEAT WORKS CRISIS.
EMPLOYEES ON STRIKE.
SYDNEY'S SERIOUS OUTLOOK.
(Received June 22, G. 5 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 22,
Sydney may be faced with a shortage of meat next week as a result of a strike of 2000 meat works employees who refuse to work 43 hours a week. Later news is lo the effect that a section of the employees at tho abattoirs and other meat works ceased work. The trade, with the assistance of loyal members of staffs, expects to maintain full supplies of meat without resorting to volunteer labour
Communists are busy endeavouring to persuade tho men to adopt an "all out" policy, but so far have not been successful.
