[FIRST DAY AT EPSOI. CHIEF RACE TO REREMAI. STANMOOR WINS CORNWALL SEBISCA THE STEWARDS'. REALTY'S LARGE DIVIDEND. After heavy rain overnight, continuing until shortly before the first raco, tho weather cleared for tho opening of tho Auckland Trotting Club's Winter Meeting on Saturday, tho conditions being dull, but with intervals of sunshine. The going ■was very heavy. Interesting racing was witnessed. Roromai won the Mark Memorial Handicap, Stanmoor tho Cornwall Handicap, and Sebisca the Stewards' Handicap. Although no first favourite won, there wa3 only one double-figure dividend, this being returned by Realty, who scored a surprise win in. the Mangere Handicap. The attcndanco was officially estimated at 13,000. The totalizator handled £30,358 10s, compared with £38,689 on the first day last year, a decrease of £8330 10s. Results:— WINTER HANDICAP.
