DEAD MAN'S TALE.
WIFE POSTED AS A WIDOW. There has been some excitement at tho Aged Miners' Homes at Ryhope, Durham, at the discovery that the occupier of biie of tho cottages is a dead man. He has been dead, however, for ten years. When tho wife of Mr. Chris. \Bell made a claim for an old-age pension, officials surprised her with the information that, according to the records, she was a widow, her husband having died ten years ago. • ' ■■■■■■■■■ ....... j, * No ono enjoys the joke more than Mr. Bell.
