YOUNG WOMAN BANKRUPT.

"UNSATISFACTORY CASE."

QUESTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

" The case has been very unsatisfactory and there is no doubt that an application for discharge will be opposed," said Mr. A'. W. Watters, official assignee, yesterday, at the resumed meeting of creditors in the estate of Vesta Doree Hayhow, a young single woman, who had traded as a grocer and draper at 145, Great North Road. At the first meeting, on June 4, bankrupt was examined at length. Yesterday the question of whether bankrupt's associate in business was a partner or an employee was discussed. The assignee said he had made careful inquiry into the business relationship existing between the two women, both of whose names had appeared on the window of the shop. It had been stated that this was done for the benefit of the business. He was satisfied with bankrupt's statement that no actual partnership existed. A tender of £9O for the stock and fittings had been accepted, said the official assignee.
