AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP. RECORD ENTRY RECEIVED. LONDON, May 13. Tlio record entry of 272 has been received for the amateur golf championship at St. .Andrews, which will be begun on May 26. The competitors includo the eight American Walker Cup players and 14 others, also Michael Scott, L. M. MacPhorson, of the Royal Melbourne Club; L. IT. Campbell, of Christchurch, and C. J. Tolley, the present champion. French, Canadian, South African and Indian representatives are among tho entrants. LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP. WIN FOP AUSTRALIAN. LONDON, May 13. Miss G. Hay (Barwori Heads, Australia) has joined the last .'52 players in tho ladies' open golf championship. Sho defeated Mrs. Whitfield (Bramhall). In the third round, Miss Molly Gourlay, the English champion, beat Mrs. Wallace Williamson, 4 up and 3.
