BOYS' TOURNAMENT. HAY DEFEATS ZAHARA, The invitation hoys' tournament of the Auckland Golf Club was advanced a further stage at Middlemore yesterdny, when P. Houden heat G. Duncan, 7 and G, and B. Ila.v beat C. Znliara, 4 and 2. Howden, playing fine golf, was out in 42 and went on to finish in 79 with a nix at the first and fivo at the short tenth. In his match with Hay. Zahara frequently missed putts, but his lons gamo was well nirrh perfect. The medal competition resulted in a tie between XL Mitchell, 92, 25—(57. and A. L. Graham, S7, 20—07, Mitchell winning the play-off Tiio final of tho tournament will be played at 9.30 a.m to-day between Howden and Hay. A foursome bogey competition will also be held players choosing partners and opponents and taking half of combined handicap. The prizes will be presented at the clubhouse at 1.30 p.m. MAUNGAKIEKIE CLUB.
