GOLDEN WEDDING.

Residents oF Waihi for close on 35 years, Mr. and Mrs. George D. Armour, of Seddou Street, celebrated their golden wedding on Monday. Born at Gibraltar, where his fatner (Mr. William 11. Armour) was a sapper in tlio garrison, Mr. Armour, on reaching his teens, entered the service of the mercantile marineLater he joined the Royal Navy, and after nine years' service came to New Zealand as a bluejacket on IT.M.S. liosario (Captain Farmer). On March 12, 1880, he married Eleanor Langley, a native ot Charlton, Kent. England. Arrs. Armour came to New Zealand with her parents in 1863, on the Silver Eagle. Leaving for Waihi in 1895. Air. and Mrs. Armour have remained there ever since.
