TRAFFIC OUTLETS.
Sir,—Thero havo been many sugc-es, lions for the relief of traffic, but I was pleased to note that your reporter* brought to light a subway under Pon son by Road and Great North Road, linking up with Dominion Road. Here we get the long-looked-for Town Hall connection with the western suburbs, via Welleslev Street West linking up. as it does, with I'alteson Street, Freeman's Bay.ffiti u t apart from this is the great; relief it will give to Queen Street and Symonds Street and the great saving in 'time and expense over the long, rotmfl-about way up bill. Taking it from an outsider's point of view, hundreds of car miles would be saved weekly, so the suggested subway in time would pay back its cost 11. J.G. 1
