WAEIIENGA
Following upon an address given in the Waerenga Hall on Thursday by Mrs. Irwin, voluntary organiser for tho Women's Institutes in the Auckland Province, it was decided to form a local institute. J'he speaker outlined the many advantages that wero provided by tho movement, especially to country women IJcr address was greatly appreciated. A committee was elected as follows:—Mrs. Hunter, president; Mrs. Teddy, vicepresident; Mrs. Kemp, secretary and treasurer; Mesdan:o3 W. 13. Carter, S. Carter, Couper, Cozens and Sherson.

Mrs. Irwin, voluntary organiser of tho Women's Institutes, addressed a meeting iri the To Hoc Hall, Ohinowai. She outlined tho activities and aims of the organisation, and it was docidcd to form a local institute. OPOTIKI
Tlio monthly meeting of the Opotiki Women's Institute was held on Friday night, Mrs. Main presiding. The Hon. J. 15. Gow gave an interesting and descriptive address upon his impressions of Canada gained during the eourso of a tour. Tho roll rail was answered by quotations from Burns. Mosdamos Burke and Hamhly sang a duet, " Arise 0 Run," and Mrs. Noblo gave an interesting demonstration of smocking. Supper was provided by the hostesses, Mesdatnes Stephenson, Fox, J. T. Clark, and Misses Young and Ferguson.
