BARNETT—JACKSON

The wedding was celebrated at tlio Pitt Street Methodist Church on Saturday evening of .Miss Edna Jackson, eldest daughter of Mrs. E. and the late Mr. I*. Jackson, of Onehunga, lo Mr. Edward Harnett, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. 0. Barnelt, of Putaruru. The Rev. J. Walker officiated Entering the church with her uncle Mr. A. Rcid, tlio bride wore a frock of cream crope do soio. From her tight fitting bodice fell a full scalloped flared skirt, dipping to the ankles at the back. Her Brussels net veil, which formed a train, was held in placo with orange blossoms Sho carried a bouquet of cream and pink chrysanthemums. In attendance as bridesmaids were Misses Mavis and Evelyn Jackson, sisters of the bride, who wore frocks fashioned aliko in apple green and coral pink respectively. Their tight-fitting satin bodices were attached to full tulle skirts dipping to the ankles at tlio back. They wore trimmed with rings of small rosebuds and finished with a soft satin bow. Short tulle veils were trimmed with small rosebuds, and they carried shower bouquets to tone. Mr. C. Jones was best man and Mr. C. Aspden groomsman. Mrs. E. Jackson, mother of tlio bride, wore an ensemble suit of navy bengaline with wine trimmings, and hat to tone. Mrs. W. G. Bnrnelt, mother of the bridegroom, woro a blno tailored frock, and hat to 'tone.

TAYLOR—VILE.

The wedding was quietly celebrated, by tlio Rev W. Wills, at the To Awamutu Methodist Church, on Wednesday, of Miss Maude Vile, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. 11. Vilo, of Pun in Road, To Awamutu, and Mr. Edward Reginald Taylor, of To Kuiti, third son of Mrs. A. Taylor, of Hastings, Ilawke's Bay. Tho bride, who was given away by her father, woro a frock of ivory georgette with silver trimming, the ankle-length skirt showing the uneven hemline. iTor embroidered silk net veil was held in place with a coronet of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and asparagus fern. The bridesmaid was Miss Phyllis Taylor, sister of tho bridegroom, who woro a frock of palo pink ciepo do chine, the skirt falling in an uneven hemline. A fawn felt hat to tone was also worn, and sho carried a bouquet of palo pink chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. A niece of tho bride, Elva Scurrah, was in attendance as flower girl, and woro a lime-green frilled net frock, with silver lace, and a Juliet cap. She carried a silver basket of flowers. Mr. Sydney Taylor, the bridegroom's brother, was in attendance as best man. After tho ceremony a reception was held at the residence of the bride's parents, Mrs Vile receiving her guests in a wine-coloured Swiss-embroidered frock. Sho carried a bouquet of Michaelmas daisies and autumn-tinted chrysanthemums. Mrs. Taylor, mother of the bridegroom, woro a frock of chenille velvet, with hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of autumn leaves and brown chrysanthemums.

MANKELOW—JAMIESOX.

Tho wedding look placo in tlio Ngaroma schoolhouse, last week, of Miss Ruhv Jamieson, eldest daughter of Mr. R. f. Jarnieson, of I harries, to Mr. Leslie George Mankelow, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. 11. Mankelow, pioneer settlers of the Ngarorna district. Tho ceremony was performed by the Rev. F. Smith, Presbyterian homo niissioner, of Kihikihi. Tho bride woro a frock of white crcpo dp chine, with a veil of old family laco, held in placo with orange blossoms. Sho car ried a bouquet to tone. In attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Mankelow, sister of tho bridegroom, who wore a frock of pink crepe do chine, with a head-dress of pink tulle. Her bouquet was of pink asters and chrysanthemums. Little Juno Dyer, cousin of tho bride, -vas flower girl, and woro an Early Victorian dress of pink and silver. Sho carried a basket of autumn flowers. Mr. Hector Manke low, brother of tho bridegroom, was best man.
