RECORD FRUIT EXPORT.
TOTAL OF 1,230,000 CASES.;
ARRANGEMENTS FOR SHIPMENT.

Exports of apples and pears from the Dominion this year will establish a new record, eclipsing tho "million case" season of 1928 by nearly a quarter of a million cases. The total for this season will approximate 1,237.000 cases, of which 160,000 cases will bo absorbed by the .South American market, and about 150,000 by Hamburg and Rotterdam.
Unlike last year there has been no delay in the shipment of tho fruit, which lias been taken as fast as it has reached Wellington. There are still about 116,000 cases id lie shipped to. the United Kingdom, but this quantify will be cleared by the end of this month.
Three shipments totalling ,56,200 cases are yet to go to South America, 11.000 by (he Port Sydney, 22,200 by the Tasmania, and 23,000 by the Ilororata. The last mentioned ship will be sailing next; month.
