AUCKLAND REFEREES.

A meeting of tho Auckland Rugby Referees' Association was held last evening, Mr. M. Kronfeld, president, presiding over an' attendance of 41 members. A letter was received from the Suburbs Club requesting that referees award points during tho season to their various teams under four heads, the aim being to improve the club standard It was decided to accede to tho request Mr. A R. Davis, an old Auckland Rugby enthusiast, now a prominent official in Rugby referee circles in Taranaki, was given a hearty welcome to the meeting. Mr. P. Stubbing opened tho season's addresses with an interesting talk on ''For the Sake of Our National Game."
