The Manurewa Town Board met last evening, tho chairman, Mr. G. Gallaher, presiding.
Tho chairman reported that investigation of the estimates for tlio current year indicated that the cosL of urgently necessary work would considerably exceed the amount of money available. C. A. Fawcett reported that tho estimated cost of retarring the footpaths 'Was £750, which amount would bo boy°n'l consideration, lie advised resurfa.> 'ng them with metal dust, which would cost approximately £350. Jt was decided to adopt this course.
