INJURY IN COLLISION.
ACCIDENT AT LEVIN
• [BY TELEGRAPH. —I'RESS ASSOCIATION.] PALMKBSTON NORTH, Monday. Special damages amounting to £325 and general damages of £375 were awarded in tho Supreme Court to-day to Stanley Richard Small, of Levin, a butcher.
Application was brought by plaintiff for tho assessment of damages received in a motor collision with S. Hamilton, of Levin, last, July. The latter admitted his liability.
The medical evidence showed that plaintiff received a compound fracture of his right leg and that tho muscle in the thigh had shrunk by disuse. The latter was only temporary, though there would bo a permanent hampering of the movement of the limb. Tho permanent loss of efficiency would be 10 per cent.'
