PREPARATIONS FOR BATTLE.
OFFENSIVE BY NATIONALISTS
SHANGHAI, May 8,
The President, Chiang Kai-shek, left Nanking this morning en route to the Tientsin-Pukow railway front. It- is reported that immediately after his arrival he intends to open an offensive along the Lungchai railway using crack corps for the purpose of diverting the possible drive of Northern troops toward Hankow and Wuchang.
