KITCHEN TIT-BITS.
Save apple parings up for a week and (hen just add a little water and some sugar. They make the most delicious apple jelly. If egg shells are used, enclosed in a white l>ag, in the copper on washing day, linen will be made pure white without the aid of soda or bleaching powders. Instead of throwing cigarette ash awav each day, empty the contents of the asli (ray into a smail box and use it for cleaning silverware. Use the ash with a moist rag, finish with a soft duster, and a brilliant polish results. i For kitchen use choose pans that have a thick even coating of enamel. If a thin coating lias been applied, the surface will appear speckled, and the shade will vary considerably. Pans like this will not wear well, as particles of enamel soon chip off, and mix with the food.
