ABERCROMBIE—JAMIESON

The marriage of Miss Amie Eleanor Jamieson, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs J. Jamieson, of I'inedale, Horotiu. to Mr. Claude Hamilton Abercrombie, youngest sou of Mis. and Mr. Abercrombie, of Station Road. Papatoetoe, was celebrated at St. Paul's Methodist Church, Hamilton, recently. The Rev. P. Paris performed the ceremony. The bride entered the church with her father, wearing a long-sleeved picture frock of ivory satin, with a full ankle-length skirt composed of tiny tulle frills and finished at the waistline with a large satin bow and diamante buckle. Her tulle veil, which formed a train, was held to tht> head with clusters of orange blossom and she carried a shower bouquet of white roses, sweet peas and chrysanthemums. In attendance as bridesmaids were her two sisters. Miss Alma and Miss Zita Jamieson. They wore Victorian frocks fashioned alike of lemon crepe do chine and eu de nil ninon, with underskirts of satin anc'l tight-fitting bodices, with tiny sleeves finished with a largo flared frill. Picture crinoline hats to tone with their frocks were also worn, and they carried bouquets of lemon and pink flowers. Mr. Hector Jamieson was best man, and Mr. Fred Walters groomsman. The wedding breakfast was held at the Centreway tearooms, where the bride's mother received her guests wearing a frock of navy crepe majestic and furs, with hat to tone. The bridegroom's mother wore navy crepe de chine with grey trimming and navy hat.

St. Benedict's Church was the scene of the wedding recently of Miss Elsie Hazel Raynes, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Raynes, of Mount Eden, to Mr. William Francis Charlton, second son of Mrs. K. Charlton, of Point Chevalier. The Rev. Father Power officiated at the ceremony, nnd Miss L. Jew played the wedding music. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. C. J. Raynes, wore a frock of ivory georgette, with bands of silver lace, and large ivory taffeta hip bow. Her veil of embroidered tulle formed a train and was held in place by ;i coronet of orange blossoms and eardrops. She carried a shower bouquet of pink and white chrysanthemums and asparagus fern. The matron of honour, Mrs. C. J. Raynes, wore peach-blossom pink georgette, with cape collar, and large taffeta hip bow. Her pale pink felt hat was trimmed with ribbon velvet, and she carried a bouquet of pink chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid, Miss E. O'Neill, was similarly gowned in Ascot blue georgette, with felt hat trimmed with ribbon velvet to tone, and carried a shower bouquet of delphiniums, pink chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The little flower girl, Lois Parkin, niece of the bride., wore pink georgette and blue taffeta, with a cape collar, and a Dutch cap of silver lace. She carried an early Victorian posy. The best man was Mr. L. Chailton, brother of the bridegroom, and Mr. C. B. Raynes, brother of the bride, was groomsman. At the reception, which was held in the Domain kiosk, the bride's mother received her guests wearing black georgette and lace, with citron felt hat. and carried a, bouquet of red dahlias. The bridegroom's mother wore a navy wool crepe ensemble, with a hat to match, and carried an autumn-tinted bouquet. BOONE—CRAIG. An evening wedding was celebrated on April 2.3 at First Church, Frankton, when Miss Rita Elizabeth Craig, youngest daughter of Mr. nnd Mrs. J. Craig, of Norton Road, Frankton, was married to Mr. Harold Percival Boone, only son of Mr. and Mrs. P. Boone, of St. Leonards Road, Auckland. The Rev. L. Rogers officiated, and the wedding music was played by Mr. W- Whitehead. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a frock of ivory georgette draped over satin. The bodice was vandyked, and the skirt was made with an uneven hemline dipping at the back. Her embroidered veil was held in place with clusters of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of white carnations and chrysanthemums. In attendance were two bridesmaids, Miss Aileen Boone, the biiriegroom's sister, and Miss Lorna Holmes. They wore frocks, of primrose crepe de chine, and periwinkle georgette respectively.. Their tulle head-dresses and bouquets toned with their frocks. The bridegroom was attended by Mr .T. Bygate as best man and Mr. E. Clare as groomsman. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Centreway. Mrs. Craig wore black satin beaute relieved with beige and a felt hat to match. The bridegroom's mother wore grey crepe do chine and hat to tone.

GIFFORD—TRIBE

The wedding was celebrated recently at St. David's Church, Khvber Pass, the Rev. D. C. Herron officiating, between Miss Bessie Tribe, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs D. Tribe, of Point Chevalier, and Mr. Charles Leonard Gifford, eldest, son of Mr. and "Mrs, W. Gifford, of Te Kowhai. The bride, who entered tho church with an old friend of the family, Mr. S. Paikes, wore a gown of ivory georgette oyer satin, trimmed with silver lace, forming an uneven hemline. An embroidered tulle veil edged with lace, which was arranged on a coronet of orange blossoms, fell to form a train. She carried a shower bouquet of pale shaded flowers. Miss Doris McMulhn and Miss Mavis Holroyd wore frocks of shell pink and pale sea-green georgette,' with hip yokes from which flared flounces hung unevenly to the ankles. Both wore felt hats and carried bouquets to tone. Mavis Grove, niece of the bride, was the flower-girl, and wore an ivory georgette frock with frills outlined with pink. Her small hat to match the dress was trimmed with pink rosebuds and she carried a posy of pal" pink flowers. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. Raymond Gifford, as best man, and Mr. .J. Tribe as groomsman. The reception was held at the Civic Theatre Winter Gardens. Mrs Tribe wore a frock of dovegrev crepe de chine and navy hat with furs and carried a bouquet of autumn flowers. Mrs. Gifford wore a frock of bottle-green crepe voile with furs, and hat to match, and carried a bouquet of autumn flowers.

STEPHENS—ADAMS

The marriage was celebrated at the Presbyterian Church, Pukemiro, recently, of Miss Margaret Adams, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Adams, of Glen Afton, to Mr. Herbert Stephens, fifth son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephens, of Glen Afton. The Rev. W. Kearney performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory silk net with flared skirt, which dipped to the ankles, and was finished with wide flounces of silver lace. Her veil of embroidered net, Ml in graceful folds from a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of white flowers. In attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Jemima Smith, of Hamilton, who wore a frock of blue satin with frilled skirt of pale blue georgette and head-dress of pale blue tulle and silver leaves. She carried a bouquet to tone. Ihelma Delia way, niece of the bride, was flower-girl, and was dressed in pale blue crepe de chine, with tiny frills, and carried a basket of pink carnations. 'ljie bridegroom was attended by Mr. Thomas Simons, of Auckland, as groomsman. Mr. J. Johnstone played the wedding music. A reception was held at the residence of the bride's mother, who wore a frock of black taffeta with overdress of radium lace and black felt hat.
