Tho wholo machino is home-made, including even tho wheels and tyres. Its weight is 2851b. and tlio engine is an adapted motor-cyelo engine. Tho balanco of tho machino has been mado of tho best avaikblo timber and steelwork which tho builders could procuro locally. On Saturday afternoon tho midget piano was taken 011 a motor lorry to the Harbour Board reclamation, where a successful ground test was made. As the ground was very wet and heavy, however, no attempt was made to tako to tho air, tho builders being content to prove that tho engine was functioning quite satisfactorily. Owing to the narrow tyres the wheels sank soino inches into the mud, but given a suitable ground tho young men believe they can take off successfully and fly in the machine*
