THEFT FROM EMPLOYER.
ONE MONTH IN PRISON. * , [BY TELEGIt Al'll. —OWN CORRESPOX DENT. J NEW PLYMOUTH. Sunday. A pica of guilty to four charges of theft from his employer, Albert I. lew, of Auckland, was entered by Roy Francis Lovell, who appeared in the Police Court yesterday before Sir. R. W. Tate, S.M. Ho was sentenced to one month's imprisonment. Accused was arrested in New Plymouth, and the Auckland police agreed to' his being dealt with here. It was stated that he had collected amounts on behalf of his employer and appropriated them to his own use. On being asked by tho magistrate ii' he had anything to say, accused replied that, he was employed on commission only. He was not doing very well and lie lapsed. The magistrate said it was not a caso of an isolated offence, but thcro had been four offences on different dates.
